Runners who have met the following standards will be considered for complimentary entry into the Gettysburg North-South Marathon:
North-South Marathon
The Gettysburg North-South Marathon is a Boston-certified course that begins and ends at the Eisenhower Conference Center. After leaving the complex and turning left onto Emmitsburg Road, the course winds through the picturesque, hilly back roads of southern Adams County. It crosses the historic Mason-Dixon Line before reaching a turnaround point in Maryland.
This is a two-loop course, with the first 13.1 miles shared with the Gettysburg Blue-Gray Half Marathon. Race is professionally timed by 2L Race Services.

- $95 Before January 1, 2025
- $110 January 1 – March 29, 2025
- $125 March 30, 2025 — Race Day
Marathon Quick Facts
- The course is measured according to USATF standards and is certified (PA22010NP) so that results can be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
- You must be at least 14 years of age to take part in the marathon. Anyone who is 14-17 will need to have an adult or guardian sign the registration form on their behalf.
- The course time limit is six hours
- The marathon will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025 and starts at 8:00 a.m
- The participant limit is 500 marathon runners
- Participants have the option of changing to the 1/2 marathon and stopping halfway.
- If you are 16 or older, you must have your ID to pick up your race number — NO EXCEPTIONS
Seeded Runners
- 3:10 or faster within the past two years
MEN
- 2:45 or faster within the past two years
